Client: Citygate Mortgages

Citygate Mortgages launched in 2020 during the COVID pandemic. Laura approached me in need of a brand new, minimalistic, modern website. She’d already had a custom logo designed for her so I worked with her to create the rest of her branding including colour palette, typography and style guidelines. Citygate Mortgages provide independent mortgage advice and helps educate people about money matters with free employee benefit scheme, Financial Wellness.

Sister company to Citygate Mortages, Andy and Laura approached me to created the webite for the commercial side of their business, Citygate Commercial, concentrating on funding for businesses rather than B2C. We wanted to keep the look and feel of the website similar to the Mortgages branch styling, to show they are part of the same over-arching brand, but give it a more corporate feel as the target audience is very different.

Annika aproached me in early 2021 after reaching breaking point with trying to build her new website herself. With clear branding guidelines already established, website copy from the amazing Amanda Fearn from Lift Copywriting and brand photography from Suzi Ellis Brand Photography, we were quickly able to design and build a website that Annika can be proud of to authentically sell her services to her clients. Briony and Chris wanted to expand their audience by making the step to start selling their products online. Used to selling in person at fairs and events, the COVID pandemic meant they had to pivot and find alternative ways to reach their customers. I designed new branding and a customer eCommerce website to showcase their products.

Client: St Mary's Church, Speldhurst
WEBSITE DESIGN | UX DESIGN
I was commissioned by St Mary’s Church, Speldhurst, to help with the UX design of their new website, creating a much more modern and user-friendly website for their parishioners to stay up to date with their events and sermons, after having to close their doors and move to a more online basis throughout 2020. I created new brandi elements including logo, typography and colour palettes, and built them a website that they can now update and maintain themselves.

ECOMMERCE WEB SHOP
Jeannette needed help setting up her online shop to sell her subscription sample boxes. She already had a fabulous website and branding created by Lauren from LaHu Brand Visibility, so I got to work to help setup the eCommerce shop onto her WordPress website with WooCommerce.

Experience: 7 years
Role: UX Designer
7 years working at Hitched, alongside a team of UX / UI designers & developers, has meant having a lot of experience working for one brand, continuously striving to increase engagement, drive sales, and improve the look, feel and user experience of the site and the email marketing.
Key projects included redesigning the homepage, the suppliers listing pages, improving the planning tools and focussing on re-engaging the users with a successful series of onboarding email campaigns.
Worked alongside third-party clients such as Sandals, Mercure Hotels and The National Wedding Show, creating advertising campaigns, solus emails and promotional materials.

Freelance Work

Role: UX Designer
SquareMeal has been the market leading independent restaurant commentator for almost 30 years.
I have been working with SquareMeal as a freelance UX designer since February 2019, to help improve their email marketing and engagement on the site, in projects including ordering Gift Vouchers, special offers, on-boarding re-engagement emails, and currently designing a brand new mobile app for booking tables at your favourite restaurants.

Cainines Dog Services approached us wanting a modern, responsive website to showcase their new services.
As a new start-up, first impressions are vitally important, and the client wanted a clean, modern look for their brand to stand out from the crowded market of competitors.
Having provided us with an initial logo and brand guidelines, we were able to create a fresh design using their ideas and feedback.

Wish Upon A Card wanted a clean, elegant design for their wedding stationery business, to reflect the soft, feminine nature of the wedding industry.
The website was a mix of brochure style website, to showcase the designs and collections available to the brides and grooms, and also eCommerce to allow customers to purchase stock items direct.

LOGO DESIGN | CORPORATE BRANDED STATIONERY
ARH Air Conditioning commissioned us to create their brand identity – this included logo design, business cards, company stationery and banners.
