What is 'Branding' vs 'Brand Identity? '
Having an amazing and memorable brand is about so much more than simply creating a unique logo.
Your branding is everything that encompasses you and your business as a whole, the complete experience you give to your clients. It’s every touchpoint that your clients could come into contact with your brand, and how that makes them feel and respond to you; that includes your personality, your core values, tone of voice, photography, ethics and much more.

Your brand identity is all the visual elements that make up your brand and how that makes your clients feel, such as amazing typography, beautiful iconography, captivating photography, gorgeous colour palettes, marketing materials, social media content, stationery, and much more… and then you also have a fantastic logo to put the cherry on top of the cake!

So how does it all work?
Firstly, it’s important we get to know each other better. We’ll arrange a 1:1 call to have a chat over a cuppa (virtually for now, until times allow us to meet in person again!), where we’ll talk about your background, what makes you tick, why you started your business etc. Some things for you to think about…
- ‘What is your ‘why’?‘
- ‘Who is your ideal client?‘
- ‘What do you feel passionate about?‘
All this will help build a solid foundation as to what you want from your branding and the story behind your business that you want it to tell your audience.
The Design Process...
#1 – We’ll have a chat over a cuppa, find out more about you and your values and ideas.
#2 – I need some homework from you first, so I’ll ask you to send me some initial examples of imagery that reflect you and your business. The best way of doing this is by sharing a Pinterest moodboard.
#3 – I’ll create some initial sketches and designs based on our conversations for you to see, and prepare 3 ideations for you to choose from.
#4 – Your chosen designs will be refined until you’ve got the perfect branding to suit you and your business.
#5 – The end product will be sent to you after final sign off. Logos will be sent in the most common file formats ready for you to use to start promoting your business.
